Bissell & Partners is an independent, boutique Lloyd’s and London Market wholesale broker. We exist for one purpose: to give brokers, MGAs and cedents a faster, more personal and more expert route into the London Market.
Our story
Bissell & Partners was founded by Chris Bissell after years inside the London Market, where one frustration came up again and again: brokers with genuinely interesting risks too often met slow responses, layers of intermediaries and a one-size-fits-all approach. In an already noisy market, Chris wanted to build something deliberately different — a focused, specialist wholesale broker that treats every broker relationship as a partnership, answers the phone, and moves at the pace clients actually need.
That belief still drives the firm today. We specialise in what we know best — liability and marine — we back it with our own in-house facilities, and we combine deep technical expertise with a modern, efficient way of working, including online quick quotes for our broker partners.
